Twink's Good Canine Condo Neighbor Training Class

posted Sep 19, 2014, 10:36 AM by Mary Berard

Wow, what news!  I must be doing something right, since my human partner in life, Mary was asked on my behalf to prepare a training guide to help create a peaceful (non-barking) environment for condo residents; inclusive of visuals and texts on helpful suggestions on how NOT  to break the management rules and regulations, as a canine resident.
The small self help guide is called:  "How to Become a Good Canine Condo Neighbor; and Not Tagged as a Public Nuisance."
So thank you my friends for thinking positive thoughts on my behalf.  My adjustment to my condo lifestyle is getting better.
I was so pleased over the acceptance of my training guide, that I am now thinking about writing a self help guide to help people overcome negative thinking.
Again, I ask you to continue thinking positive thoughts on my behalf.  I am so excited to think that I am good enough, smart enough and by gosh, people now like me!

Where Have I Been and What Am I Doing Now

posted Sep 19, 2014, 10:11 AM by Mary Berard

Dear Loved Ones and New Friends (Canine and even some Felines too!)
So much has happened since I last posted on my web page.  So let's get started!~ Good news to report, my human partner in life, Mary has fully recovered from her facial surgery; and then to my surprise, she decided that we will be moving  from our native state to another in the South.
Oh dear what an ordeal it was for me adjusting to my new tropical weather state.  My winter coat is gone  and, I am adjusting to the daily rain showers and humidity.  My good news to report:  I am meeting new friends in my condo building! I was faced with a new challenge since condo living was NOT an easy adjustment for me.
This is the first time I have lived in a condo environment vrs a private home.  I miss  my own personal backyard and visiting with my old canine neighborhood friends.  I am faced with many new challenges, Example:  can't bark whenever I like to after all ~ I am a watch dog!  I have to walk on a leash at all times within the condo complex and even outside the condo complex, except for dog parks; am learning to be calm around so many other dogs in the building makes me feel as though I am in a dog boarding school.  I am happy to report that cat residents like me and we get along.
The management tells all canine residents that it is a privilege to live here.   Also I learned that many condo buildings  do not allow dogs, so I am painfully learning this new way of dog life for me, so that I will not break the rules and make my human partner Mary upset with me.  Think positive thoughts for me during the adjustment period.
I send you my hugs and kisses from the South,

Since last Fall season, I have been very busy taking care of my "handler" Mary, who has been recovering from emergency facial surgery.
...I have missed communicating and visiting with my friends and socializing at public gatherings, but when you look at my recent pictures of me reading to Mary; and, having her practice her daily, positive affirmation; you can see that me being at her side, has been the most important  job I could have now-a-days.
...Along with reading to Mary, I tried to be as adorable as possible, posing, singing, kissing Mary and, at night,  keeping Mary warm with my furry body.
...To this day, I am still receiving WOW compliments from people, who were amazed how a little Pug dog, like me, could be such a powerful guard dog, protecting Mary, whenever someone knocked at her door.   Nobody could see Mary until they were approved by me.
...I feel so needed and important today!   So friends, Mary is now better and we both will be out and about again.  Hope to see you soon!
Love and kisses from Twinkle

Happy Summertime To All:

Hello to all my new pet and non-pet friends that I made during the winter and spring seasons.  Now that the summer months are here, I am pleased to report that I have lost my winter coat.  My caregiver and teacher, Mary, is very pleased about that, since my shedding time is over with and, I am already feeling cooler with less fur!
OK --here is my summer affirmation that I repeat when it gets too hot for me....."I choose to be happy today, regardless if the sky is sunny or cloudy.....I CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY TODAY!  Hope you will be happy today too!
Hugs, kisses and all best wishes,
